About the Website
This webpage is my personal blog site where I publish my articles regarding the law, legal and justice system, and current events in the Philippines. My goal is to educate ordinary Filipinos about their rights under the law, especially when they got arrested or under any situation necessitating the services of a legal professional. I hope that in my own simple way, I will be able to help my countrymen understand their basic rights.
As I have disclosed, I initiated the establishment of Icamen and Mauleon Law Offices. It is a small legal service office committed to advancing and protecting the rights of every Filipino citizen against the abuses and injustice committed not only by government agents but also by big powerful companies. My law firm was established and officially registered on 09 June 2020 although prior to the establishment of my firm I have been practicing law in various capacities for more than a decade. I am fully committed to serving my clients with utmost efficiency and dispatch, and I am drawn by the challenges and love of my profession. I believe that practicing law in the most efficient and ethical way I can especially considering above all the rights and welfare of my clients is the best way I can personify my purpose as a lawyer. In my firm, I partnered with Atty.Mario M. Mauleon, a CPA-Lawyer. We pooled our knowledge and resources to establish Icamen and Mauleon Law Offices.
In running my firm and in the practice of my profession in general, I am always guided by my belief that a perfect legal system is the one where in all instances, the real offenders are punished and the offended are rewarded. I strive hard daily to become the most fruitful and always relevant member of the legal community in the Philippines and around the world. I believe that the ultimate judge for all acts committed by the human race is not living with us on earth. Everybody will be made accountable. Justice will always prevail.
Get to Know Me More
My name is Ensign M. Icamen. I am a native Bicolano, born and raised in Catanduanes where I earned my basic education. From the howling winds of my beloved island province and the mountains of Bicolandia to the cacophonous streets of the Metropolis, I learned about the great challenges in life.
Today, I am an independent legal advocate, a cycling enthusiast, a father, a husband, a part-time teacher, a responsible citizen of the Philippines, and a lifetime student of law. I founded and currently run Icamen and Mauleon Law Offices, a law firm based in the National Capital Region, Philippines.
Educational Background
Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree major in Communication Arts and a Bachelor of Laws, I took and passed the 2004 Philippine Bar Examinations. I was admitted, took my oath, and signed the roll of attorneys as a full-fledged member of the Philippine Bar in May 2005.
Early Career
Immediately upon admission to the Philippine Bar, I joined the law firm of former (Ret.) Justice Serafin R. Cuevas as an associate lawyer. It was there that I embarked on my career in law as a litigation lawyer handling civil and criminal cases.
Corporate Experience
I previously served as Acting Corporate Secretary and Acting Head of Legal Services of Liberty Telecoms Holdings, Inc. and Liberty Broadcasting Network, Inc. I also worked as legal counsel for corporate and administrative matters of ORIX METRO Leasing and Finance Corporation.
Current Practice
At present, I work as an independent legal advocate and consultant to various small and medium-sized businesses. I specialize in litigation of civil and criminal cases, labor laws and employee relations, and corporate law and housekeeping. I continue to lead Icamen and Mauleon Law Offices, serving clients with dedication, integrity, and an enduring belief in justice.
